아카데미 측은 현지시간으로 5월 17일부터 25일까지 윤여정의 대표작 8편을 상영했다. 아카데미 측은 <화녀><바람난 가족><고령화 가족><계춘할망><죽여주는 여자><찬실이는 복도 많지><미나리> 등의 작품들을 내걸고 “한국영화사에서 대체할 수 없는 독보적인 배우 윤여정의 회고전을 선보이게 되어 영광”이라고 밝혔다.

The Academy screened Youn Yuh-jung’s eight most notable works from May 17 to 25. They included: Woman of Fire, A Good Lawyer’s Wife, Boomerang Family, Canola, The Bacchus Lady, Lucky Chan-sil and Minari. The Academy stated that it was an honor to present a retrospective of Youn Yuh-jung, an “irreplaceable, one-of-a-kind actor in the history of Korean cinema.”

Her own personal experience of having lived in the United States for over a decade blended seamlessly into Soon-ja's character, earning her the moniker of “K-grandma” and eventually the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.
