Actor Hwang Jung-min has appeared in a total of 43 films to date. He was on his first film set at the age of 19, making his screen debut in 1990 with director Im Kwon-taek’s General’s Son. While working on his first film, he realized that he was not yet ready to stand in front of the camera, and reportedly stopped auditioning for a while afterwards. After spending years honing his craft on the theater stage, he finally made his mark with film audiences in 2001 as Kang-su in director Im Soon-rye’s Waikiki Brothers.
